Raytheon's Pathfinder/ST MK 2 ECDIS Raytheon's
Pathfinder/ST MK 2 ECDIS is the perfect complement to any bridge and fulfills
the safety requirements of major classification societies.
• The Pathfinder/ST MK 2 ECDIS console was developed according to the
latest IMO and IEC specifications of performance standards for ECDIS.
• The Electronic Chart Data Base (ECDB), fulfils the IMO format definition
S 57/DX 90.
• All electronic charts in CM-93 and C-MAP format can be loaded.
• The Pathfinder/ST MK 2 ECDIS utilizes the intuitive Windows NT®
which is used all over the world. This makes it possible for the crew to become
familiar with operating the system quickly.
The simple intelligent arrangement allows
easy integration with additional navigation instruments such as radar or autopilot
and makes Raytheon's Pathfinder/ST MK 2 ECDIS the central bridge component for
navigation and collision avoidance.
Performance Characteristics
Raytheons's Pathfinder/ST MK 2 ECDIS provides:
• brilliant high-solution ECDIS presentation
• automatic sea chart selection according to position
• display of the own ship's position
• display of the sea chart in varying chart layers with increasing amounts
of detailed information including chart objects (e. g. light house)
• display of radar information (tracked ARPA targets)
• route planning and route monitoring
• recording and output of relevant voyage information (black-box-function)
with position-, estimated time of arrival (ETA), course to steer (CTS), time
to go (TTG) and cross track distance (XTD) display
• radar image overlay (in preparation)
• sensor inputs (dead reckoning and position monitoring)
• safety depth contour alarm (grounding avoidance) optical and audible
alarms activate when the ship has deviated from the track, is nearing shallow
water, reaches wheel-over-point or infringes on safety zones
• multi-navigation-sensor interface (e. g. GPS, gyro, log or echo sounders)
• integrated autopilot- and track control function
• world-wide availability of C-MAP chart data
This modular construction console design complements perfectly thousands of
Pathfinder/ST radars that are already installed allowing for easy retrofit.
